Beastmaster Starter Quest (Night Harbor)

This is the Night Harbor version of the Beastmaster starter quest. Faelindral-born beastmasters get a separate questline.

Part 1 — Joining the Seekers (Level 1)

1. You start with a Hastily Scrawled Note describing a dream of being torn apart by wolves and reborn as one of them, pointing you toward the Seekers of the Lost Eye in Saltbreeze Park, near Highpoint Terrace's Great Guild Hall.
2. Hand the note to Leila Ghasem. Your faction with the Seekers of the Lost Eye improves, and she welcomes you as an initiate, handing you a Worn Leather Cord and asking you to string it with teeth from local beasts.
3. At the North Gate or West Gate noob yards, kill large rats, desert bats, and jackal pups until you loot 2 Rat Tooths, 2 Bat Tooths, and 2 Jackal Tooths (or buy them from vendors), then combine all 6 in the Worn Leather Cord to form a Betoothed Leather Cord.
4. Hand the finished cord back to Leila Ghasem. Your faction improves again, and she gives you the Beast Initiate's Cord, along with a Pouch and some Simple Animal Feed.

Part 2 — The Missing Initiate (Level 5)

1. Hand the Beast Initiate's Cord back to Leila Ghasem to bond with it. She explains that a fellow initiate named Elian has gone missing near Blackfeather Bazaar, and hands you a Description of Elian to show around.
2. At Blackfeather Bazaar, show the sketch to a beggar, who points you to a servant girl, who in turn points you to Kilia. Kilia confirms it's Elian, hasn't seen him in days, and gives you an Evidence of Elian — she mentions his pet rat has also vanished.
3. Return the evidence to Leila Ghasem. She identifies the rat as Blackwhisker and casts a spell letting you converse with beasts, handing back a Sketch of Elian. (If the spell ever wears off, bring the evidence back to have her recast it.)
4. In the Harbor District of southern Night Harbor, hail brown rats or fat rats (or a black rat, if one is up) about Blackwhisker — you can skip straight to hailing the dog Whiskey if you'd rather not bother with the rats. The trail leads to a name: Yorias, last smelled on the far side of the harbor.
5. Head into the Bends district toward its main gate, then find Yorias near the two Watchmen outside. Hail him and show him the Sketch of Elian — he denies knowing anything, then attacks you.
6. Kill Yorias and loot a Severed Ponytail and a Skintaker's Note.
7. Bring the Severed Ponytail, Skintaker's Note, and Sketch of Elian back to Leila Ghasem. She recognizes the ponytail as Elian's and grows uneasy at the mention of the Skintakers, a group said to follow the Spiral in pursuit of power. She rewards you with the Beast Adept's Tunic, completing the quest.
