Part 1

Every new archer in Faelindral starts out with a rolled scroll addressed from Commander Elydris Stormbough, inviting the recruit up to Sentinels Terrace to meet with Captain Keyaryn Thornshade. The terrace sits above the Traders Terrace, reached by climbing past the Willows Whisper stage and crossing the span opposite the tanner. Handing over the scroll earns a curt welcome from the captain, along with a Reconnaissance Satchel and a stack of briefings meant for four Wyrdguard scouts posted around Evershade Weald: Faeweald, Gladebow, Stonebranch, and Amberward. Three are stationed near the bottom of the great lifts, while Gladebow has been temporarily relocated to Overlook Terrace after a spider infestation overran his usual post. Delivering each briefing nets a report in return; once all four reports are in hand, combine them inside the Reconnaissance Satchel to seal it into a Full Reconnaissance Satchel and bring it back to Thornshade.

The captain isn't thrilled with what the reports reveal — Fellstone Orc scouts have been pushing deeper into the lower Weald than ever before — but he rewards the legwork with a Novice Scout Bracer to mark the recruit as a Wyrdguard novice. He then asks for a bit of counter-espionage: return to Scout Amberward, present the bracer as proof of standing, and take on a more direct assignment. Amberward hands over a Scout's Satchel and sends the recruit hunting Fellstone Scouts in the lower Weald for their strange written orders. Killing scouts until six Unintelligible Writings have been collected and combining them into the satchel produces a Full Scout Satchel, which goes back to Amberward and then up the chain to Captain Thornshade, closing out Part 1.

Part 2

At level 4, Thornshade has a lead on the scribbled orcish notes: Researcher Fairgrove, a timid scholar working in the Heartwood Archives. Handing her the satchel gets two symbols circled for further investigation. She asks for confirmation that one of the symbols matches markings carved into a particular conifer near the Wyrdgate — found by pulling back a curtain of vines at the base of the tree and inspecting the exposed bark. Bringing the confirmed symbols back to Fairgrove sets her on edge: the orcs seem to be researching something tied to the Wyrdgate itself, and the second symbol resembles corrupting runes used on the risen dead nearby. She hands over a Research Assistant's Bag and asks for proof — specifically, Rune-Etched Bones pulled from the old elven skeletons haunting the ruins. Killing skeletons until four bones are gathered and combining them into the bag yields a Full Research Assistant's Bag, which confirms her suspicions: the undead uprising is a deliberate orc plot, not a coincidence. She writes up a hasty warning for the Wyrdguard captain.

Delivering that note to Thornshade earns an Arrowhead Token, which — paired with the Novice Scout Bracer — should be brought to Craftguard Vinebrow in the Sentinels Gaze armory for an upgrade into the sturdier Weald Scout Bracer. Showing the new bracer to Thornshade wraps up this stage of training; he'll want to see some real wear on it (gained simply by continuing to adventure) before trusting the recruit with the next assignment.

Part 3

Around level 8, the trail leads to Moon Dances, one of the Whisperers of the Preservers, who is enlisted to help cleanse the undead menace with the aid of the forest's elemental spirits. He hands over a mortar and asks for four pure elemental samples — air (gathered high in the tree boughs near the upper-tier lift), earth (found within a mushroom ring deep in the druids' caves beneath the city), water (collected at the base of the great waterfall near the newbie lift), and fire (captured from a faefly that only appears at night near the old Calafrey ruins south of town, past a trio of orc guards who can be skirted around). Returning the filled mortar to Moon Dances yields a completed receptacle, which Captain Thornshade uses to bind a protective blessing — the Blessing of the Forest Spirit — that only functions within the Calafrey ruins. From there the captain sends the recruit back into those ruins to gather proof of a mysterious robed figure's involvement and collect Necrotic Ash from the corrupted dead, a fight best tackled with a group given the strength of what lurks there. Completing this final task and reporting back earns the Scout's Longbow of the Wyrdguard, marking full graduation from novice recruit to a trusted archer of the Wyrdguard.
