Part 1

Aspiring bards in Night Harbor start by presenting their newbie note to Jamee Langris, a smooth-talking member of the Azure Veils faction. Rather than a simple errand, Jamee tasks the recruit with quietly delivering a set of curious gifts to six people scattered across the city, framing it all as a favor between friends. Each stop has its own little story: a pouch of rare tobacco goes to Harbormaster Daoud at the docks, a perfumed silken sash goes to the lovestruck Guard Jeskal at the Northern City Gate, a small mirror goes to the slippery Cordellius Hollmion in the Spellbinder's Spire library at Sageside, a tiny leatherbound book goes to young Elrind Steele in the Steel Talons' garrison library, a vial of cloudy liquid goes to Assistant Researcher Farland among the visiting archaeologists, and a set of framed pressed flowers goes to the grieving Jiselle Heyley at the Wayfarer's Hospice near the Traveler's Camp.

Each recipient reacts to their gift in a different way — some sentimental, some wary — but all of them hand back a small, sealed metal parchment vial in return, clearly meant for Jamee's eyes rather than the recruit's. Once all six vials have been collected, they're combined into the Small Courier Bag Jamee provided, and the sealed bag is brought back to him. He's pleased with the results and rewards the errand with a coin that can be exchanged with the tavern barkeep across from the stage for a free drink, along with improved standing among the Azure Veils.

Part 2

At level 5, Jamee decides it's time for a "real adventure" and lays out two more serious tasks at once. The first sends the recruit to scout the smuggler's camp along the western coast in the shadow of Fallen Watch, out in the Shaded Dunes, where Jamee wants information on a smuggling operation — and specifically a ruby-inlaid gold ring that should be pried, politely or otherwise, from one of the smugglers or wererats operating there. The second task is grimmer: a friend of Jamee's took a silver amulet engraved with a woman's face into the newly excavated tomb outside the city, hoping to commune with the dead, and hasn't been seen in acceptable condition since. Jamee wants the amulet recovered rather than trusting the local archaeologists or city guards with the job.

Recovering the Severed Ring Finger from the smugglers in the Shaded Dunes camp and the Engraved Amulet from High Marshal Fionna in the Tomb of the Last Wyrmsbane completes the fieldwork. Both items are combined into the small leather pouch Jamee provided, and handing the finished pouch back to him earns the Azure Enameled Golden Bangle as a reward for a dangerous and morbid job well done.

Part 3

Jamee hints that there's more work ahead for a bard who's proven this versatile, but the next stage of the chain has not yet been documented — check back with Jamee Langris in Night Harbor once the higher-level continuation becomes available.
