Carved, according to their own legends, from the bones of a Titan, Dwarves are among the most physically enduring of all races in Aethoril. Short and stocky, with dense muscle and even denser pride, they are master craftsmen and relentless fighters who treat every challenge as a contest of will. Though their stoic temperament and blunt manner have earned them a reputation for rudeness outside of Night Harbor, those who earn a Dwarf’s respect will find no more loyal an ally.
Dwarves speak both Common and Dwarvish, the ancient tongue of the deep halls. Their racial ability, Stone Form, channels the Titan’s blood within them — temporarily transforming their skin to living rock, granting extraordinary physical protection in the heat of battle. Combined with natural resistances to Cold and Magic, Dwarves make exceptionally durable combatants who are difficult to bring down by any means.

| Wizard | 20 | 17 | 19 | 15 | 20 | 16 | 15 |
Dwarven base stats lean hard into STR and STA, and the community leans right into it: Fighter is the runaway favorite starting class for Dwarves, prized for class-leading strength and the thematic fit of a stocky, stone-skinned frontliner. Paladin and Cleric round out the top picks, both benefiting from the race’s strong STA and WIS and fitting neatly with Dwarven lore around loyalty and stubborn endurance.
