Humans are the most adaptable and versatile of all peoples in Aethoril. Neither gifted with the innate magical aptitude of the elves nor the raw physical might of the ogres, Humans compensate with an extraordinary capacity to learn, endure, and excel at whatever path they choose. Their settlements dot the coastlines and trade routes of the known world, and the city of Night Harbor — the great melting pot of all peoples — reflects the Human talent for commerce, diplomacy, and cooperation.
Humans speak Common, the trade tongue of Aethoril, and their cultural breadth means they feel at home among nearly every other race. Their racial ability, Tenacity, reflects their legendary stubbornness — the willpower to keep fighting when others would fall. This resilience makes Humans exceptional in any class they choose, and they alone among the peoples of Aethoril may train in all eighteen disciplines.

Because Humans can become any of the eighteen classes in Aethoril, they’re the default pick for players who want maximum build flexibility without a race-imposed ceiling. Among the community, Fighter, Cleric, and Wizard are consistently the most-rolled starting classes for new Human characters — their balanced base stats support all three reasonably well, and none of them punish a player who’s still learning the race’s playstyle.
