Wood Elves are the Preservers of Aethoril’s wild places — sworn guardians of the ancient forests who have watched civilizations rise and fall from beneath the forest canopy. Slender and swift, they move through woodland terrain with a grace that seems almost supernatural, and their connection to the living world runs deeper than any other race’s. A Wood Elf alone in the wilderness is never truly alone; the forest itself is an ally.
Speaking Common and Elvish, Wood Elves hold Good faction alignment and are welcomed throughout Aethoril’s civilized lands, though their hearts remain in the wild places. Their racial abilities, Hide and Forage, make them exceptional wilderness operatives who can vanish from sight and live indefinitely off the land. Natural resistance to Electricity is offset by a vulnerability to Fire — a meaningful concern in a world where flame is the weapon most often turned against forests. Their exceptional AGI makes them the finest archers and rangers in Aethoril.
