Overview

Disenchanting breaks down magic items into the raw resources Enchanting needs to create scrolls and other enchanted goods.

Getting Started

In Night Harbor, the Disenchanting Trainer is tucked inside Vaclav’s Tower, reachable either by befriending an Enchanter with the Silver Key of Candor or by finding the tower yourself in the Elementalist District (look for the purple torches). In Faelindral, Disenchanter Gwendyl teaches the skill above the Inn, near Vaelyndir the Jewelcrafter. You’ll need a Disenchanting Cube, sold by Enchanting Supplies in Night Harbor or an enchanter in Faelindral.

Materials & Tiers

Disenchanting sorts items into the same four reagent tiers Enchanting consumes: Enchanted (low), Magic, Arcane, and Astral (high). Each tier yields a Powder and a matching Magic reagent (Mote, Glimmer, Spark, or Echo of Magic) in variable quantities.

Leveling Tips

Save low-level magic drops instead of vendoring them — Enchanted-tier fodder (trivial 10-15) is the cheapest way to level this skill, and you’ll want the Powder output for Enchanting anyway.
