Tailoring crafts cloth and wool armor primarily from materials dropped by creatures, with some recipes requiring components from Blacksmithing.
Noura the Tailor trains the skill in Night Harbor’s Night Market. In Evershade Weald, Flerri Dawntender the Tailor teaches it upstairs on the Traders Terrace, in the area signed for weapons and armor. A Tailoring Kit, sold by a cloth armorer or Master Tailor Sansha, lets you craft on the go instead of needing a stationary table.
Cloth Scraps and Wool Scraps drop from creatures and get bundled into a Bolt of Cloth or Bolt of Wool (6 Scraps each) at a Tailoring Kit or Loom — the building block behind nearly every recipe on this page. Spider Silk and Rugged Spider Silk are rarer drops that sidestep the Cloth/Wool line entirely, trading into their own light, low-bulk armor sets. Cotton and Linen sit above Wool as the top-end fabrics, each with their own Scraps → Bolt chain.
Tanning also feeds Tailoring: some cloth and wool recipes call for Canvas alongside Bolts and Padding.
Patched Cloth Armor and Patched Wool Armor are the cheapest early sets to turn skill-ups into wearable (or sellable) gear, and can be broken back down with a Seam Ripper if you overcraft. Buy Cloth/Wool Scraps in bulk from other players once your trivial outpaces drop rates — Bolts and Padding are cheap, repeatable skill-ups that rarely fail.
Tanning — supplies Canvas used in several cloth and wool recipes.
Blacksmithing — some Tailoring recipes call for metal components (buckles, studs, frames).
Leatherworking — shares the same armor-slot design, useful if you’re gearing a hybrid set.
