Bard Starter Quest (Faelindral)

Part 1 — Level 1

1. A note from Naerith Songbird sends you to Pine Brightreed at the Willows Whisper stage in Faelindral. Since Naerith can't perform tonight, he asks you to deliver refund vouchers to five ticket holders in exchange for their original tickets, given to you in a Ticket Satchel with a Bundle of Vouchers.
2. Track down and trade a voucher for a ticket with each of Sylvosa Pineweld (Traders Terrace smelting area), Wyrdguard Mithrilvine (bottom of the Keeper's Lift), Listener Maplebloom (campfire at the Balanced Branch), and Lorinthal Skybranch (tree trunk platform south of the Traveler's Lift). Sersil Tangleroot (across from the Pixie Lift) asks you to first hear out a message about the fae before handing over his ticket.
3. Combine all five tickets in the Ticket Satchel into a Full Ticket Satchel and give it to Pine Brightreed.
4. He hands you a Donation Basket and points you to a shelf of used instruments. Inspect the shelf and take the Odd Recorder hidden among them, then equip it and take the stage.
5. Follow the on-screen prompts through your first, deliberately disastrous performance (the recorder is secretly cursed) until you've collected 4 Generous Donations, then combine them into a Full Donation Basket.
6. Give the Full Donation Basket and Odd Recorder back to Pine Brightreed. He admits the recorder was cursed as a prank, hands you a Fruit-Stained Washcloth, and sends you to Laenyth Windharp in the Lambent Lantern upstairs.
7. Give the washcloth to Laenyth Windharp. She hands you a Note for Sylphrena and sends you up to Sylphrena Starfall.
8. Give the note to Sylphrena Starfall. She hands you a Ring of Introduction as compensation and asks you to make a name for yourself before returning.

Part 2 — Level 5

9. Show your Ring of Introduction to Sylphrena Starfall. She hands it back along with an Ingredient Bag, recruiting you to prank Pine ahead of his own upcoming performance.
10. Gather 2 Royal Jelly, 2 Pixie Glitter, and 2 Wasp Worker Wax, then combine them into the Ingredient Bag to craft the Full Ingredient Bag, and hand it back to Sylphrena.
11. She mixes a spiked concoction into a Laced Wineglass and sends you behind the bar to fill it: use /pour wine at the barrels to create Laced Wine.
12. Give the Laced Wine to Pine Brightreed just before his set. He drinks it and stumbles through an embarrassingly bad comedy routine, then hands you back an Empty Wineglass.
13. Return the empty glass to Sylphrena Starfall. Amused, she rewards you with the Lambent Lute and tells you to come back once you've practiced.

Part 3 — Level 8

14. Show your practiced Lambent Lute to Sylphrena Starfall. She hands you a diplomatic assignment and a Sylphrena's Note for Laenyth Windharp: negotiate with the naiads of the Whispering Pools (behind the eastern waterfall), led by the powerful Mistress Naelira, who've been pushing beyond their territorial pact.
15. Give the note to Laenyth Windharp downstairs. She hands you Laenyth's Potion Recipe and a Siren's Tear for a Potion of River's Allure, needed to safely enter the pools: 2 Selstie Kelp (harvested underwater from Weald rivers), 5 River Essence (from river elementals), 2 Crude Fish Oil (extracted from at least 4 fish via an alchemist's cauldron), the Siren's Tear, and a Tempered Vial (sold at the Well of Order alchemist shop, across from the bank).
16. Combine the reagents in an alchemist's cauldron into a Completed Mixture and give it to Laenyth Windharp. She brews it into a Potion of River's Allure (with enough leftover for refills if you bring back an empty potion).
17. Drink the potion, then hail Mistress Naelira under the waterfall. Intrigued that you're a performer, she asks to see your lute — but the cold of her touch snaps a string, leaving you with a Broken Lambent Lute. She demands a sturdier instrument before she'll listen to you play.
18. Ask around Faelindral about lute strings and you'll be pointed to Flerri Dawntender the Tailor. She has no suitable materials on hand, but suggests silk from the giant spiders of Keeper's Bight.
19. In Keeper's Bight, find the giant spiders inside a large hollow log north of the mill, and defeat a deadwood matriarch for a Bundle of Strong Silk.
20. Give the silk and your Broken Lambent Lute to Flerri Dawntender the Tailor. She restrings it into the Silk-Strung Lute.
21. With a fresh potion in hand, return to Mistress Naelira and show her the restrung lute. Satisfied, she hands it back along with Naelira's Favor and invites you to perform among her naiads — stand in the performance line and use /take bow to begin, following the prompts (/push forward, /break rhythm, /take pause, etc.) until you close with another /take bow.
22. Hand the lute and Naelira's Favor back to her. Impressed, she infuses the instrument with siren magic and returns it to you as the Enchanted Lute.
23. Bring the Enchanted Lute to Sylphrena Starfall at the bard guildhall to complete the quest and receive the Lute of the Charmed.
