Crystals from the Deepcut miners

Prerequisite: finish Part 1 of the Underdocks Starter Quest (the Deep Beetle shells for Marshal Harding) and receive your Hammered Iron Ring from Maude Astarace. This step is for Enchanters, Elementalists, and Wizards only — other classes get a different follow-up.

Part 1 — Maude's Research (Level 4+)

1. Find Maude Astarace — she's a gnome in the building next to the quartermaster. After she gives you the Hammered Iron Ring, ask her about her research.
2. She explains that the Delvestone Mining Company and the Deepcut are fighting over rocks, and the company will pay to have its crystals reclaimed. Agree to help and she hands you an Empty Crystal Box.
3. Head into the Darrowdwell mine above the citadel and kill Deepcut miners for crystals until the box is full. Maude makes it clear she doesn't care how you get them.
4. Once the box is full, hand the Full Box of Crystals back to Maude for experience.

Part 2 — Collecting the Bounty

1. Maude goes through the box and is unimpressed — no gems at all, just dull rocks. She suspects something else is going on and gives you a Darrowdwell Crystal Bounty to take to the paymaster.
2. Bring the Darrowdwell Crystal Bounty and your Hammered Iron Ring to Elara Venn at the Bounty Building nearby.
3. Elara pays out your share and upgrades your signet: you receive a Polished Iron Ring, 10 silver, and Descendian Order faction.

What's Next — Deepcut, Delvestone, Darrowdwell (Level 8+)

1. Return to Maude Astarace and hail her. She doesn't believe the Delvestone would fight this hard over worthless rocks and asks for your help again — agree to assist.
2. She wants a sample of whatever mineral is really at the heart of the dispute. You're looking for a single Faintly Glowing Crystal, dropped by Deepcut Miners (level 10+) in the North Mines.
3. To reach the North Mines, leave through the north-east gate and keep heading north-east toward the back of the zone. You'll know you're close when you see Deepcut tents (non-miners) outside; larger, higher-level mushroom folk also roam the area.
4. Bring the Faintly Glowing Crystal back to Maude. The rest of this chain hasn't been documented yet — if you've finished it, share the details in the discussion below.
