Druid Starter Quest (Faelindral)

Overview

New Druids are summoned to High Gatekeeper Sylvarya Starveil at the Sentinel’s Gaze to begin training with the Wyrdguard, tending a Wyrdgate and carrying messages between allied orders. The chain grows into tracking down a second, orc-controlled Wyrdgate and severing it, culminating in the Icon of the Gatekeeper.

Detailed Walkthrough
Rewards: Experience, Scroll: Burning Embers, Fire Beetle Eye, Aspirant Icon of the Gatekeeper, Scroll Gate, Sap-Stained Gloves, Icon of the Gatekeeper

Part 1 — Level 1

  1. You start with a Rolled Leafscroll from Commander Elydris Stormbough directing you to Sylvarya Starveil on the Upper Tier of Sentinels Gaze in Faelindral.
  2. Hand her the scroll. She gives you a Simple Phial and sends you to a Wyrdgate at the base of the northernmost lift toward the fae caverns (the Pixie Lift), asking you to pour it into the center of the ring of toadstools there.
  3. Stand in the exact center of the toadstool ring and use /pour toadstools to empty the phial. After a pause, a small portal opens and begins leaking water.
  4. Use /take water with the now-Empty Phial to collect a Strange Reaction Phial from it.
  5. Return the sample to Sylvarya Starveil. She rewards you with the Novice Icon of the Gatekeeper and hands the phial back for further analysis.

Part 2 — Level 1

  1. Bring the Strange Reaction Phial to Sylwine Brightspirit, an alchemist at the Well of Order. She hands you a Reagent Bag and asks for help restocking supplies while she examines it: 2 Royal Jelly (wasp drones), 2 Bat Wings (black bats), and 2 Bone Chips (rotting skeletons).
  2. Combine the reagents into the bag to form a Full Reagent Bag and return it to Sylwine Brightspirit.
  3. She hands you a Note of Results and a Strangely Glowing Pouch — her findings link the strange substance to corruption from the Spiral, also seen in samples from the Reekbog.
  4. Bring both back to Sylvarya Starveil. She rewards you with Scroll: Burning Embers, a Fire Beetle Eye, and an upgraded Aspirant Icon of the Gatekeeper, and suggests showing the icon to Commander Elydris Stormbough when you're ready.

Part 3 — Level 4+

  1. Show your Aspirant Icon to Commander Elydris Stormbough. She hands you a Druidic Leafscroll and sends you back to Sylvarya Starveil to experience the Wyrding paths firsthand.
  2. Tell Sylvarya Starveil you're ready to see the paths. She binds your soul to Sentinels Gaze as an anchor, then teleports you to the Sungreet Strand druid ring.
  3. Hand the letter to Almina Weepingwind of the Circle of Scarce Rains. She hands you a return letter and a Scroll Gate to teleport back.
  4. Gate back to Evershade Weald and give the letter to Sylvarya Starveil. She hands you a Druidic Token to bring to Commander Elydris Stormbough as proof.
  5. Give the token to Commander Elydris Stormbough. She hands you a Vine-Strapped Satchel and asks you to collect 4 Broken Shaman Idols from Fellstone shamans to disrupt their magical support.
  6. Combine the four idols into the satchel to form a Full Vine-Strapped Satchel and return it to Commander Elydris Stormbough.
  7. She hands the satchel back for you to bring to Sylvarya Starveil, who rewards you with Sap-Stained Gloves and says she'll have a final task once her investigation concludes.

Part 4 — Level 8+

  1. Hand the gloves back to Sylvarya Starveil to show your progress; she returns them and hands you a Lodestone. She's concluded the orcs are using a second, hidden Wyrdgate somewhere in the Weald and asks you to find it.
  2. Search Evershade Weald's orc-held areas for an unusual circular formation (not necessarily toadstools). It's located up the ramp past the skeleton- and rabid-dog-spawning spires near the zone's road out, at a moss archway on the cliff face.
  3. Standing at the moss circle, use /place lodestone to create an Attuned Lodestone (this spawns three orcs after about 10 seconds — be ready to fight or gate out).
  4. Return the attuned lodestone to Sylvarya Starveil. She confirms the second gate connects to the Reekbog and the Deep, and asks for a Wasp Venom Sac and a Widow Venom Sac (from a Mezzatrian spider, found across the broken bridge past the waterfall) to brew a Searing Solution that can permanently destroy the gate's moss.
  5. Return to the moss circle and use /pour solution. After about 10 seconds, this summons Muleda Murktoe, a level 13 druid who casts Lesser Heal, Burning Embers, and Moon Ember.
  6. Defeat Muleda Murktoe and loot the Reekbog Focus.
  7. Use /place lodestone at the moss circle once more to seal the gate, receiving a Used Lodestone (this teleports you to Shallow Shoals as the gate collapses).
  8. Return the Used Lodestone and Reekbog Focus to Sylvarya Starveil. She rewards you with a Druidic Token to bring, along with your Aspirant Icon, to Commander Elydris Stormbough.
  9. Hand both to Commander Elydris Stormbough. She formally recognizes you as a full Wyrdguard Gatekeeper and rewards you with the Icon of the Gatekeeper.
