Escort Head Researcher Aashir

Timing matters. Aashir spawns at the dig site at 6 AM and is attacked when risen skeletons spawn at 6 PM; he’s weaker than they are, so if he dies you’ll have to wait until the next evening. The Night Harbor half only exists until 6 AM after someone finishes Part 1 — so complete Aashir’s Journal first.

Before You Start — Aashir’s Journal

1. Around the Ancient Crypt entrance in Shaded Dunes, risen skeletons and cultists spawn at 6 PM and despawn at 6 AM (roughly 7-minute respawns).
2. Kill cultists until you’ve looted Aashir’s Journal and pages 4, 17, 37, 42, 70, and 76.
3. Place the journal in an open bag slot, add all six pages, and combine to complete Aashir’s Journal.

Part 1 — The Escort

4. After 6 PM, once the skeletons are up, hail Head Researcher Aashir near the Ancient Crypt zone line and say I will help escort you out of here. (Hailing him during the day just gets you dismissed.)
5. After a short pause he walks through the ruins toward Night Harbor. Keep the risen skeletons off him — three or four can attack at once, and he’ll charge any he sees, so bring a small group.
6. At the northern end of the ruins he thanks you, asks you to meet him at the tent above the old tomb near Night Harbor, and despawns.

Part 2 — The Lost Journal

7. Find Head Researcher Aashir on the cliff overlooking the tunnel entrance to the Tomb of the Last Wyrmsbane in Night Harbor. Ask what he was doing at the dig site and about his lost journal.
8. Hand him the completed Aashir’s Journal. Overjoyed, he gives you Aashir’s Earring, along with experience and improved standing with SCEAS.
