Fighter Starter Quest (Night Harbor)

Part 1 — Level 1

1. You begin this quest already holding a Notice of Recruitment as a new Fighter.
2. Hand the notice to Fedamius Steele III, who watches the courtyard from a post on the wall above the Steel Talons Martial Academy in southwest Night Harbor. He's unimpressed by another hopeful recruit and sends you down to his sister to continue your registration.
3. Hand the notice to Lurinda Steele in the courtyard below. She's seen recruits come and go and passes you along to her son, who handles paperwork out of the academy's library through the south entrance.
4. Hand the notice to Elrind Steele. He admits your registration could sit for weeks unless you help him first — he needs research materials gathered. He hands over Elrind's List, a stick of Charcoal, and a sheet of Parchment.
5. Head out the west gate and defeat one each of a rotting skeleton, a snake, and a fire beetle, collecting a Skeleton Jawbone, Snake Fang, and Fire Beetle Eye (these can reportedly also be bought if you'd rather skip the farming).
6. Find the stone pillar outside the cave leading into the Tomb of the Last Wyrmsbane. Standing next to it, use /rub inscription to take a rubbing and receive a Frottage of Inscriptions.
7. Return to Elrind Steele and hand over the Frottage of Inscriptions, Skeleton Jawbone, Snake Fang, and Fire Beetle Eye together. He finishes your registration and gives you Elrind's Research to carry back to his mother. Elrind's List can be discarded once everything's turned in.
8. Bring Elrind's Research to Lurinda Steele. She hands you a Steel Talon Trainee Tunic to mark you as an official trainee, plus Lurinda's Pack, and asks you to fill it with proof you've fought the Ashira raiders harassing the city's borders — specifically, bracers taken from Ashira warriors.

Part 2

9. Combine 6 Ashira Warrior Bracers and turn them in to Lurinda Steele. Satisfied with your progress, she sends you back to her brother with a note recommending you for promotion.
10. Bring the tunic and Lurinda's Note to Fedamius Steele III. He admits you've earned his sister's approval and rewards you with the Steel Talon's Recruit Breastplate. He suggests introducing yourself to the captains stationed in the towers along the western wall, since it's good for new recruits to know their future leadership.
